Classic Car & Truck Restoration: Restoring Them to Their Original Glory
Classic cars and trucks are an investment by their owners, as they typically become more and more valuable over time when properly cared for and with minimal use. These are not usually daily drivers. Some are "barn finds," where someone inherits a property and realizes their late relative had one or more vehicles stored in the barn for decades. In most cases, we can restore these to their original beauty. There are various aspects of restoring a classic car: First, making it road worthy - if the vehicle is not running, it is irrelevant how good or bad the condition of the body and interior are in. So, repair or replacement of the drive train is paramount.
Perhaps you noticed the black mid-50s sedan in the image above. Notice how we have the blueprint for the drive train on the windshield. Under the hood, at the time this picture was taken, we were putting the finishing touches on the powerful V8. Naturally, since this technology did not exist nearly seven decades ago, this would be categorized as a Restomod, not a pure restoration, which is exactly what the owner desired. Notice how we have placed plastic film on the fenders so that our mechanics will not damage the new paint job that our body team has already done to this one. When this is finished, it will be an eyebrow raiser at local car shows when the owner puts it on display for auto enthusiasts to see.
Restoration of a classic car or truck is a daunting task and should not be undertaken by a novice who has never done such. They will likely be in over their head and may waste a considerable amount of money trying to do what only professionals can do. We can help. The condition of the vehicle also determines how much can be repaired or restored and how much must be replaced. For example, a car covered in rust will be much more difficult to restore than one without rust.
Take a look at the image below and you will see a classic British sport car, a Jaguar, beside a classic American truck. Import or American, if it is a classic car, we are the place to go for restoration or repair of your classic vehicle.
